The 2025 Formula 1 season is coming to an end with only eight races left. For many fans this means looking ahead at the new season and planning which races they would like to attend.
Going to an F1 race is a dream most fans have, however the expensive nature of the sport can make attending a race difficult to achieve. It is no secret that F1 is an expensive sport but that should not stop fans from attending races.
Here are some of the cheapest races to attend on the 2025 calendar.
Chinese Grand Prix
In 2025, the Chinese Grand Prix was the cheapest race for F1 fans to attend. According to F1Destinations.com, over the three-day weekend tickets for this race averaged $193 (164.28 euros). On the outskirts of Shanghai, the race also proves to be easy to get to and it’s cheap to stay nearby. China is also F1’s cheapest race to attend when paired with a three-star hotel. F1Destinations.com says the average price is $530 (451.13 euros). It also ranks as the cheapest track to attend when using a low budget such as general admission tickets and camping or a hostel.
Hungarian Grand Prix
The Hungarian Grand Prix held the title for the cheapest F1 race just two years ago, however with high demand prices have risen. Despite that, Hungary still is the cheapest European race for fans to attend. F1Destinations.com reports a 71.6% change in ticket prices year on year yet tickets average around $355 (302.17 euros). The Hungaroring is 30 minutes outside of the capital city Budapest, which is known for being budget friendly. This helps fans that want to travel to an F1 race on a budget, as hotels and travel in the city are relatively cheap.
Bahrain Grand Prix
The Sakhir International Circuit located 35 minutes from Bahrain’s capital Manama was Formula 1’s first ever venue in the Middle East. Known for its wealth, most fans would assume a race in the Middle East is out of their budget. However, Bahrain ranked the second cheapest race to attend in 2025 by F1Destinations.com with an average ticket price of $274 (233.23 euros). Budget-friendly options for hotels can also be found near the city which means fans can splash out more on the flights and still achieve a reasonably priced F1 trip.
Qatar Grand Prix
Like Bahrain, Qatar is another budget-friendly race many would not consider until researching. The Lusail International circuit is another venue on the outskirts of the capital. With the city of Doha offering many budget friendly options this race is another one for fans to consider. On the Formula 1 ticket store, tickets for a three-day weekend in Qatar average at $330 (280.89 euros).
Japanese Grand Prix
The Japanese Grand Prix is yet another race outside of Europe which is cheap for fans to attend. The Suzuka Circuit is in the northeast of Japan and near the city of Nagoya. There are many hotels in the surrounding area, however most of the prices increase massively around the time of the race. However, you can camp at the race as a more budget-friendly option. Tickets average at $305 (259.20 euros) for the Japanese Grand Prix over the weekend.
Italian Grand Prix
The Italian Grand Prix is among one of the cheaper options for attending a race in Europe. The race is held at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, which is 45 minutes outside the capital of Milan. Flights and hotels can be found for a relatively cheap price; there is also a shuttle service from Milan train station to the circuit, and it is only 30 euros for the three days of travel. Tickets for this race were an average of $359 (305.09 euros). Attending the Italian Grand Prix could easily be as cheap as 500-600 euros if budgeted correctly.
